Our Staff
Gregory L. Henneman - Senior Pastor- To love God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength
- To love my neighbor as myself
- To influence others to this same kind of love
- To live the adventure of life with courage and integrity
- To build a great church for the glory of God
My mother faithfully took my two sisters and me to church every Sunday. I received Christ at the age of eleven. During my freshman year at Anderson College (Anderson, IN), I sensed God's call to pastoral ministry. The summer after my freshman year I married Sandy Evans, and the two of us moved to Houston, Texas where I studied Bible and Theology at Gulf Coast Bible College.
After graduating from there in 1982, Sandy and I moved back to Anderson College, where I entered seminary. While studying for my Master’s Degree I also had the privilege of pastoring a small church where I gained much practical experience. In June of '84 I graduated from Anderson School of Theology with a Master's of Divinity Degree. Our son Cory was born that March.
In July of 1984 I was called to be Associate Pastor at East Ashman Church of God in Midland, MI. Part of a three-person staff, my duties were Christian Education and Youth. Our daughter Cary was born in Midland in October of 1985. After 3 years at Midland, I received a call from Crossroads Church of God in Milwaukee, WI. After several interviews and much prayer, I became the Senior Pastor of Crossroads Church of God in October 1987. I enjoyed a fruitful six and ½ year ministry there. In January of 1994, I was contacted by Clarkston Community Church, and became its Senior Pastor on Easter Sunday, 1994.
I enjoy sports, especially golf, basketball, and softball. I am taking piano lessons (I want to play like Pastor Michael when I grow up!). I count it a wonderful privilege to pastor such a vibrant and growing congregation.

Kevin Kuehne - Youth Pastor
My Life Mission Statement is:
- To live a life of integrity as Jesus Christ being the model.
- To help youth become part of the church of today instead of waiting to be the church of tomorrow.
- To leading youth in having their own personal relationship with Christ.
- To enjoy life with what God has in store for Sandy and me in ministry.
I have been involved in Youth Ministry for over 20 years. First starting out as a Youth Counselor working under a great Youth Pastor, Pastor Greg Henneman in Midland, MI. Setting a good foundation is always important in whatever you do and in my first few years of Youth Ministry I learned great fundamental Youth Ministry skills. I made sure I didn't repeat any of the mistakes Pastor Greg made, (just kidding).
After moving out of town much closer to another active church, Floyd Church of God, Sandy and I became Youth Directors while I continued to hold down a full time job. During eight years of Ministry we enjoyed watching many young people grow into healthy Christian adults. During our ministry in Floyd, I felt a definite call from God to go into full time Youth Ministry.
As a young man attending Anderson College, I felt led to take an estimated forty hours of Christian Education and Youth Ministry courses. Not having a definite call in a ministry, I searched after a financially stable career as a Manager of Truck Routing Business of a Professional Laundry Company. Financially our family was stable, but when God is calling you into full time ministry you can be assured your life will only be complete if you answer his call.
In November of 1996 I was called to serve as a full time Youth Pastor in Greenville, MI where I served for three years. During the three years spiritual growth was most prevalent in the youth and where God is in the move, numbers will follow. In August 1999, I received a call from Clarkston Community Church to consider coming as Youth Pastor. After much prayer, talking with the search team and having support from my whole family, I made the decision to come.
I love the outdoors and especially being in a state with all four seasons. I enjoy Snow Skiing, White Water Rafting, Back Packing, Racquetball and Paintball.
I became an ordained minister on March 18, 2001.

I attended Bethel College and graduated in 1976 with a B.A. in elementary Education. From Bethel College, I went to Indiana University for a year where I worked on a Masters in science. In 1977, with much council from my Pastor, I attended Anderson School of Theology. I graduated in 1980 with a Masters in Religious Education. I then returned to my home congregation to become the associate under my dear friend and mentor Reverend Verle Fridley. I also began teaching Head Start and finished my Masters at Indiana University and C.D.A. (an Early Childhood endorsement) from Western Michigan.
I have enjoyed my years in Clarkston and the many challenges and joys they have brought me. I am currently the Spiritual Formation Pastor. Being single with no children (except for the many I interact with), I enjoy many activities and hobbies. I love the fall and football. Even with all my years in Michigan, I am a

Daniel L. Whiting - Administrative PastorMy Life Mission Statement is:
- Serve: To be a faithful servant, as Christ is my example
- Share: To share the truth of the Gospel
- Stewardship: To be a faithful steward of my time, talents, and treasures, as this pleases God.
- Surrender: As Christ commands me to; “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind” and “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Upon receiving a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree in 1976 I was commissioned as an infantry officer in the US Army and had various assignments in Panama, Germany and stateside. Pat and I were married in 1978. After 6 years we left the Army life to join the family distribution business. I held various positions in the company including President of the company after my father retired. After 45 years we decided to close the business and sell it. Although a sad day for many who had grown up with the business, it was an opportunity for God to show me His plans for me.
We have two grown children, Bonnie and Peter. Bonnie graduated from Oberlin College and Conservatory in June of 2004. She married Ben Smith on August 28, 2004. Peter graduated from Anderson University in Indiana in May 2007 with a Business degree. Peter currently resides in Indianapolis Indiana.
I accepted Christ into my life in November of 1991 as a result of studying God’s word in Bible Study Fellowship. Although prior to that time I attended church and did church “things”, I did not have a heart changing, true relationship with our Lord and Savior until then. For the next 13 years I was actively involved in church leadership, Bible teaching, mission trips and Youth activities. I now know that God was preparing me for “such a time as this”.
Isn’t it a “coincidence” that at the time of closing our family business that there became a need for an Administrative Pastor at Clarkston Community Church? The skills acquired over the years in the Army, business and in lay leadership were being developed for the use in the Body of Christ here at Clarkston Community Church. Pat and I have been attending Clarkston Community Church since 1998. The congregation voted me as their Administrative Pastor in the winter of 2004. I have completed the ordination process as outlined by the Church of God and was ordained at the General Assembly in November of 2006. I am so excited to be part of the growing ministry here. I truly know that this is where I need to be and that God will use me to further His kingdom.

Geoff Black - Worship Arts Pastor
My full name is Paul Geoffrey Black. I'm the fourth generation Paul G. Black and I've always gone by my middle name Geoff. When I was just a year old my parents moved from New Mexico to California. We lived in Covina; which is just outside of Los Angeles. We lived there for 12 years and then moved to Michigan where my dad became the Worship Pastor at Northridge Church.I first accepted Christ when I was 7 and now that I look back it was for the total wrong reason. One Sunday my teacher taught us about hell and how we need to ask Christ to be our Savior. I, out of fear, accepted Him that night. I even tried to convince my little sister and brother to accept Christ so they would not go to hell. It took me many years to realize what a true relationship with Christ truly means, and I'm still learning.
I've always had an interest in drama and music and after we moved I was very involved in music at Northridge Church. I was in the teen choir and then the adult choir. I started on the praise team before I graduated from high school and I led worship on various occasions. I spent two years at Western Michigan University studying music education during which time I met my future wife. After two years at WMU, I felt God leading me to Belmont University in Nashville, and had aspirations of being a Christian contemporary music artist. So I followed that leading and majored in vocal performance with a minor in music business. During that time I felt God's calling to leading worship as my career. I finished my second year and that summer Saleena and I were married. She; outside of God, is the best thing that ever happened to me! Because of scholarship cuts at the school, I could not afford to return to Belmont. So I began working and completed a business management degree program at Spring Arbor University. We had our first child in 2004. His name is Gibson and he is the fifth Paul G. Black. We have had two other children since then. Ashton was born in 2006, and our little angel Rylie was born in 2007.
I have continually prayed for God to lead me into full time ministry. Little did I know He wanted to start me out part time at Woodside Bible Church at their White Lake location where I was the worship pastor for a year and a half. We have been so blessed by God and want to follow His will!
It was August 2008 that Pastor Greg had contacted me in regards to the Worship Pastor position here at Clarkston Community Church. Through several months of meeting with the search committee and countless hours of prayer, our family was so excited to accept the position and be apart of this great church. I look forward to the exciting future here at CCC and know God is going to do awesome things!
My Life Mission Statement is:
- To live out lifestyle of Worship everyday
- To allow God to use me as a vessel that leads others to freely worship Him
- To continually grow in my own relationship with Christ and encourage others to follow
- To be a beacon of God’s light and love to a world who desperately needs Him.
